Our Story
Where it all began
Kamala Niketan started with a simple idea:
Children shouldn’t grow up fearing learning. So we began small, as a Montessori environment where learning felt clear, hands-on, and collaborative.
From the very beginning, Mrs Geethanjali Sathiamoorthy wanted to build a school that moved away from rote learning and toward experiential, inquiry-based education, so children develop life skills, confidence, and the ability to think independently.
What started in 1991 as “Tiny Tots” with just 30 students has grown into a full school ecosystem spanning 6.5 acres, serving 3,800+ children. Three decades later, that founding belief is what parents, many of them our own alumni, still return for.
